Rye Harbour
The warmer weather today encouraged some more wildlife out into the open at Castle Water, Buff-tailed Bumblebee, Common Bee-fly and Common Lizard were present around the viewpoint area, avian highlights were provided by 6 Avocet, 4 Ruff, 2 Marsh Harrier, 8 Fieldfare and a Bittern inflight at dawn. On the Beach Reserve a Merlin, 5 Ruff, 6 Avocet and a Green Sandpiper frequented Harbour Farm pools, and at least 100 Mediterranean Gulls were at Ternery Pool.
