Castle Water
October is probably the best time to search for Bearded Tits at Castle Water, recently a group of 11 birds have been regular infront of the hide and have given absolutely fantastic close views, additional groups of birds have been at the viewpoint and along the margins at the northern end of the main pit. Other highlights this morning included 2 Bittern, 55 Little Egret, Barn owl, Water Rail, several Cetti’s Warbler, Grey Wagtail and 45 Wigeon.
