RXwildlife Sightings

Our first wheatear of the year was seen near Makepeace hide on Wednesday and another has been near the access track for most of today. Two sand martins flew through this morning. The penduline tit has just been seen from the Hanson-ARC hide again. Also of note: several smew and goldeneye, two Slavonian grebes, bittern, two avocets, a firecrest and two ravens.

Highlights over the past few days have included 5 Sandwich Tern, 64 Mediterranean Gull and 1000 Black-headed Gull at Ternery Pool, at least 10 Avocet and a Green Sandpiper on Harbour Farm pools, 215 Brent Geese heading east over the shore at low water, and a Chiffchaff in song at the viewpoint.
