Snowfall
An exceptional snowfall overnight (at least 20cm but with much drifting) has made travelling around the nature reserve very difficult, so wait until the weekend thaw for your next visit. Not only are the weather forecasters predicting the thaw, but many of the birds know it’s on its way - there are still many Curlew, Golden Plover, Lapwing, Snipe and Skylark around - they haven’t made the move south.
