Marsh harrier
1st October 2010, FridayThese birds are doing very well in the RX area. A fantastic peak count of 53 birds was recorded going in to roost last winter, and Kent now holds a significant proportion of the UK population of these birds. Individuals in North Kent have been wing tagged to learn more about their behaviour and movements. Should you happen to see any marked marsh harriers please report them to harriers@swalewaders.co.uk noting the colours of the tag on each wing and the number on it if possible.
