Hedge Rustic and Red Underwing

Seems a while since we had any moth photos on this forum. A cool start to the day with a distinctly autumnal feel to my catch here in Rye. My first Lunar Underwings of the year, no fewer than 35! Highlights were my first Hedge Rustic (left) and this superb Red Underwing – wingspan 80 mm, though it gave me only a peek of its red hindwings until it fluttered away in a blaze of glory.
