Rye Harbour Sightings
7th September 2010, TuesdayHighlights today included Peregrine, Wood Sandpiper and Spotted Redshank on the Bittern excavations at Castle Water and four Curlew Sandpiper on the Quarry. Yesterday best of the bunch were two Curlew Sandpiper, two Knot and singles of Greenshank and Bar-tailed Godwit on the Quarry, a Kingfisher on Harbour Farm, three Whinchat at Ternery Pool and at least 750 Sand Martin feeding over Long Pit.
