Rye Harbour Sightings
Highlights from Castle Water today included a Bittern and Marsh Harrier from the viewpoint, a splendid male Garganey on the Bittern Excavations, and both Yellow Wagtail and White Wagtail on the fields at the nothern end of the pit. On Harbour Farm the best of the bunch were two Little Ringed Plover, over 30 Avocet and small numbers of Whimbrel. Still a good selection of hirundines hawking over Long Pit, but no sign of yesterdays Red-rumped Swallows.
