Night Heron and Great White Egret
20th April 2010, TuesdayThis mornings highlight was flushing a superb Night Heron from willows near the viewpoint at Castle Water. A lucky observer on the viewing platform informed me afterwards that the bird headed across the nearby fields towards Narrow Pit. Later in the morning a Great White Egret made the reverse journey and landed at Castle Water.
