Another fantastic spring like day, highlights have included 3 Sandwich Tern at Ternery Pool, 60+ Knot along the shore, at Castle Water 2 Bittern, 2 Marsh Harrier and a foraging Buff-tailed Bumblebee (Bombus terrestris).

A great white egret landed at the edge of Burrowes pit this morning before flying off to the ARC pit. Two firecrests were in bushes near Makepeace hide. A pair of garganey were on the ARC pit yesterday (the earliest ever reserve record) and highlights over the weekend included 18 white-fronted geese, a female scaup, red-throated diver and water pipit.
