Continued newt movements
9th December 2009, WednesdayThe mild wet weather continues to favour amphibian movements back to their ponds. I now have a maximum count of 4 smooth newts observed by torch-light at night in my Northiam pond, five caught in traps, and my first palmate newt male of the season has been present for the last two days.
