Rye Harbour Sightings
3rd December 2009, ThursdayA good range of species on Long Pit late morning included a Slavonian Grebe, 95 Pochard, 57 Tufted Duck and three Little Egret. On Flat Beach Level waders included around 500 Lapwing, 67 Golden Plover and smaller numbers of Dunlin, Ringed Plover and Redshank, all this activity attracting the attentions of a Merlin.
