On 20th November the great white egret was still in the Denge marsh area. A cattle egret was seen in the fields near Boulderwall Farm, where a bittern was also seen flying. Highlights of the previous few days included two penduline tits in the reeds near ARC Hanson hide on 19 November and two glossy ibis on the pools near Boulderwall Farm on 18 November.
