16th October 2009, FridayA disappointing eleven Little Egrets were counted leaving the roost, however a Bittern gave superb close flight views and a Ring Ouzel also showed well. Additional sightings were 5 calling Cetti’s Warbler, Green Sandpiper, Kingfisher, Marsh Harrier and Little Owl. Over the past few days highlights from the Beach Reserve/Harbour Farm have included 20 Grey Partridge, 280 Curlew, 140 Golden Plover, 50+ Siskin, 2 Marsh Harrier, Pintail and Green Sandpiper.
