Rye Harbour Sightings
Little Egret numbers leaving the Castle Water roost have increased from a couple of days ago with 85 leaving from about 6am this morning. Also present here, at least 12 Yellow Wagtail appeared to have roosted in the reedbed overnight while at least two Cetti’s Warbler could be heard. Later in the morning a visit to Harbour Farm found at least two Green Sandpiper, a Common Sandpiper and a Knot on the new pits behind Ternery Pool, while several Wheatear and Yellow Wagtail foraged in the short grass nearby.
