RSPB Dungeness recent sightings
17th July 2009, FridayToday’s highlight was provided by a pectoral sandpiper, seen from the Hanson-ARC hide early this afternoon. Also of note were 15 redshanks in front of Firth hide and large numbers of sand martins feeding over Burrowes pit. Other sightings this week included: common and green sandpipers, five little ringed plovers, 13 whimbrels and a red-crested pochard.
