Sea Pea is now in full bloom, and in places along the shore ridges looks spectacular. However, a closer look reveals that most of the plants are damaged …
with the leaves having many semi-circular “bites” taken out of them.
This is the tell-tale damage inflicted by the Pea and bean weevil Sitona lineatus, which is a major pest of pea crops.
