Rye Harbour
14th May 2009, ThursdayHighlighhts from the viewpoint at dawn 2 Hobby, 2 Water Rail, Bearded Tit, Cetti’s Warbler, Cuckoo and Garden Warbler in song. Back on the Beach Reserve a good selection of waders were again present 7 Knot, 3 Grey Plover, 5 Dunlin, Little Stint, 2 Black-tailed Godwit, 5 Whimbrel, 3 Avocet, Curlew and a Greenshank were on the Quarry and a notable flock of 16 Ringed Plover were in flight over Shore Ridges. Harbour Farm Pools produced 2 Common Sandpiper (pictured), Wood Sandpiper, Little Ringed Plover and 14 Avocet.
