RSPB Dungeness recent sightings
6th May 2009, WednesdayHobbies have become a regular sight, hunting over Hooker’s pits and Denge Marsh. A pair of little ringed plovers have been seen from Firth hide for the past few days and up to eight whimbrel have been in the sheep fields close to the access track. Other regular sightings include cuckoo, swift, swallow, yellow wagtail, sedge warbler, reed warbler, whitethroat and raven. On Friday evening a red-rumped swallow was spotted flying south over Boulderwall Farm and was found later over Burrowes pit.
