Request
4th May 2009, MondayThis post follows on from the 2nd May, a request has been made to show a fully emerged Hairy Hawker. The first picture shows a pre-flight emergent found at about 7am yesterday, the dragonfly is about an hour away from taking its first flight. This maiden flight will take it far away, as it could be attacked by any mature males patrolling the area as the morning temperature rises. The second picture is a prequel to the Red-eyed Damselfly picture from the aforementioned post, the emerging damselfly is resting before the final push to release the abdomen from the exuvia.
