1st May 2009, FridayWith Whimbrel numbers leaving the roost at dawn being low this year, 42 this morning, it was easy to be distracted by at least 800 Sandwich Terns and 300 Common Terns roosting at Ternery Pool or on the Quarry. A visit to Harbour Farm afterwards provided excellent views of both Grasshopper Warblers, Hobby and Cuckoo.
