Another murky early morning highlights picked out the gloom included 7 Whimbrel, 5 Bar-tailed Godwit and 2 Black-tailed Godwit on the Quarry, 2 Little Tern were roosting amongst Common and Sandwich Terns on the low water sand, and the winter flock of Knot has ebbed away to 18. Several Swallows passed overhead along Shore Ridges and a Cuckoo perched briefly along the fence by the Wader Pool.
