Brede High Woods

This lovely bright orange alga is Trentepohlia, according to Patrick Roper. I’ve often wondered what it was called, so the dark cloud of my ignorance has been rolled back a little but remains firmly in place over the subsequent images.

This round green patch of liverwort is almost certainly Forked Veilwort (Metzgeria furcata)

This purplish brown liverwort is Dilated Scalewort (Frullania dilatata)

Green Hellebore is very rare in the wild in Sussex. Patrick knows it from just one site in Brede High Woods but wonders if anyone has found it elsewhere?
