RSPB Dungeness recent sightings
29th September 2008, MondayAfter a two week absence it looks as though our cranes have returned - two birds landed at the ARC site at 15.45. Also seen today: yellow wagtail, swallow and siskin. Regular sightings over the past week have included little stint, snipe, golden plover, common sandpiper, ruff, kingfisher, wheatear and yellow wagtail. A common buzzard was seen on 27th and a bittern (from Christmas Dell hide) on 28th.
