RXwildlife Sightings

Todays sightings include hobby, green sandpiper, wood sandpiper, curlew and little stint.

A few migrants in the Lime Kiln trap this morning, including Dark Sword-grass, Silver Y and Diamond Backed Moth. The highlight however was a Dewick’s Plusia (below), only the third reserve record.

Highlights at Castle Water this morning included Wood, Green and Common Sandpipers  all seen from the hide. Sedge, Reed, Cettis, Chiffchaff and Lesser Whitethroat also showed well from the hide. Very quiet on the Beach Reserve although 44 Golden Plover were roosting on Flat Beach and 18 Yellow Wagtail were along Shore Ridges.
