Four-spotted Footman, St Leonards
Migrants have been few and far between this year in my roof terrace moth trap in St Leonards but last night produced a few, the best was this male four-spotted footman. The species is resident in the UK, although nationally scarce, mainly in south-west England. In the south-east it usually occurs only as a scarce migrant from the continent. This is apparently only the second record for Hastings.
