Rye Harbour Sightings
8th June 2008, SundayHighlights today included four Little Ringed Plover and two Green Sandpiper on the new pits behind Ternery Pool, and at least two pairs of Turtle Dove on Narrow Pits. Still plenty of Avocet around, including two pair with at least five chicks on the pools adjacent to Lime Kiln Cottage. Also here, singing Corn Bunting and a lovely male Yellow Wagtail (below) hunting for insects in the long grass.
