Dawn at the viewpoint
Perfect weather conditions this morning for checking the Little Egret roost at Castle Water, 47 birds were counted leaving the roost. While there a Barn Owl gave superb views infront of the viewpoint, Bearded Tits were calling from the nearby reeds, 4 Cettis Warblers and several Water Rail were also heard. On the main pit 8 Pintail, 2 Goldeneye and a redhead Smew were the pick of the bunch.
