RXwildlife Sightings

The Shore Lark is still present near the Red-roofed Hut, though it has been feeding on Flat Beach, and nearer to Lime Kiln Cottage in the last couple of days. Also, a Jack Snipe was flushed on the Quarry early-morning. Offshore small numbers of Razorbill, Common Scoter and Curlew moved by early on.

For the last week or two I have taken to nocturnal ramblings around Northiam, looking for signs that common toads Bufo bufo are on the move. Dixter Lane is a regular spot where these animals are found squashed on the road, and this is where I made my first sighting of the year last night.
