Yellow-browed Warbler - Castle Rocks, Hastings
Yellow-browed warbler showing well in the gulley, Castle Rocks, Hastings. (2.30pm)

Best to view from the small circular area of open ground called Ladies Parlour between the castle and the West Hill cafe. (TQ821095)
A late whinchat, black redstart and wheatear also reported from the site.

The West Hill is one of two open areas standing above Hastings Old Town. Facing directly onto the sea, it often attracts interesting migrants and is a good place to watch diurnal migration. There’s a nice cafe there too.
