Elephant Hawk-moth
This large caterpillar has been feeding on a Calla Lily - an unusual foodplant - in a garden in Rye Harbour. It is 75mm long, so must be nearly ready to pupate in the soil.

Night Heron, Alexandra Park - Update
The juv. night heron is still present, but elusive, in Alexandra Park, Hastings. The last two nights it has fed on Shornden Reservoir and roosted during the day at Harmer’s Pond (TQ807104).
