The roadside Wader Pool is back in business. Though the water level has been only slightly lowered, a good variety of waders has been attracted to the mud, adding to those already exploiting the shallows of Carter’s Flood.

Highlights this morning: 350+ Yellow Wagtail were on Harbour Farm and Shore Ridges, 22 Wheatear and a Little Stint (pictured) were present on Flat Beach. At Castle Water,a Garden Warbler showed well at the viewpoint, Bearded Tit, Willow Warbler and Blackcap were there also. From the hide, 4 Common, 2 Green and one Wood Sandpiper. 2 Garganey, Wigeon, Gadwall,Teal and 233 Canada were present at the northern end of the main pit.
