This very small Mycena species was found amongst the leaf litter growing on a piece of decaying Bramble, they can be hard to identify correctly without seeing the spores under a microscope.

Two Long-eared Owl were enjoying the winter sunshine at the roost site at Narrow Pit, at Ternery Pool 49 Teal, 200 Lapwing and 19 Snipe could be found sheltering from the northerly wind. At Lime Kiln Cottage two Rock Pipit were on the nearby saltmarsh and 50+ Corn Bunting were seen inflight over the cottage. Visiting Birdwatchers also reported a Black Throated Diver close inshore near the Old Lifeboat House.

Long-eared Owl taken this morning
A mid morning walk produced two Marsh Harrier over the reedbeds and a hunting Barn Owl. At least 250 Common Gull rested in one of the fields and a female Blackcap was in a hawthorn hedge.
