News from RSPB Dungeness

Two white-fronted geese were seen grazing in the field opposite Christmas Dell hide with a group of Canada geese. 

A goldeneye was seen on the New Diggings, and a Slavonian grebe was reported on the ARC pits. 

Goosander (five females) and smew (3 males and nine red heads) were visible from Scott hide. 

Two regular marsh harriers a female and a young male were hunting on Burrowes pit. A peregrine was spotted at the water tower and merlin was reported. A curlew was visible from Firth hide first thing in the morning. 

A corn bunting was singing near the return trail gate early this morning and a chiffchaff was reported on the ARC.Â
