Castle Water
Highlights from Castle Water today, 41 Curlew, 11 Snipe, 180 Wigeon, 155 Tufted Duck and 25 Gadwall, roosting gulls included 1000+ Herring Gull, 228 Great Black-backed, 50 Lesser Black-backed, 100+ Common Gull and 250+ Black Headed Gull. From the hide Little Egret and Water Rail gave good views . At Ternery Pool this morning 2 Red-breasted Merganser were present, before heading westwards.
