News From RSPB Dungeness

Today’s highlight was five Bewick’s swans showing well from the viewing screen at the ARC pit. 

Other sightings included: curlew, snipe and goldcrest.

Castle Water

Dawn at the viewpoint: 43 Little Egret left the roost, 1 Bittern, Green Sandpiper, Barn Owl, 4 Cettis Warbler and calling Bearded Tit. 85 Mute Swan left the main pit after roosting over night. Chiffchaff, Goldcrest and Fieldfare were in the surrounding willows.
