RXwildlife Sightings

A single Long-eared Owl was present at the Narrow Pits at about 11.30 this morning, viewable from the track. Also viewable from here small numbers of Fieldfare and Redwing in flight. On Flat Beach Level, 13 Brent Geese and a Marsh Harrier were present this morning along with small numbers of Lapwing, Dunlin and Ringed Plover, while a Little Egret, three Bar-tailed Godwit, 36 Sanderling, and 151 Oystercatcher were feeding on Camber Shore.

Following on from a recent note about the first Sussex record of the lesser water boatman Arctocorisa germari. We have just learnt of another, this time the lesser water boatman Sigara iactans was recorded from a pit at Camber in August 2005.
