Rye Harbour Nature Reserve

Highlights from Castle Water this morning, 36 Little Egret left the roost, 34 Shoveler, 100 Wigeon, 2 Green Sandpiper, 24 Snipe, Short Eared Owl and a Whinchat. Two Little Stint and 500+ Golden Plover were on Flat Beach, 4 Stonechat (pictured) were at the Wader Pool.

News from RSPB Dungeness

Today’s highlight was a penduline tit feeding on the bulrush area on the right hand side of the nature trail, as one approaches Scott hide walking from Makepeace hide, stonechat and kingfisher ware also reported.
