Pannel Valley NR

There was a huge clear out of migrants overnight with very few birds present this morning. A trickle of Grey and Yellow Wagtails overhead and a female Pintail were the only sightings of any note. At about lunchtime a good movemene of Swallow and House Martin started and is still continuing in the late afternoon.

The moth trap made up for the low numbers of birds with six Scarce Bordered Straw, three Convolvulus Hawk-Moth, two Delicate and a superb Clifden Nonpareil.
