Castle Water Wetland
With the new wetland completed I thought I would spend the evening watching what is using it. It looks great now with all of the extra islands and I am certain it will bring much new exciting wetland wildlife to the reserve. The area was dominated by hundreds of Lapwings that kept being disturbed by a Sparrowhawk, and a Hobby was hawking insects. A Kingfisher, 7 Snipe, a Pintail, a Garganey, 2 Bar-tailed Godwit, 2 Greenshank, 3 Green Sandpiper, a Common Sandpiper and about 20 Little Egret.
