Emperor Dragonfly
Several female Emperor Dragonfly were egg laying at Castle Water this afternoon, the eggs are laid in aquatic plants near the waters surface and hatch in about three weeks. The pictures were taken through binoculars.

More Little Terns
The Little Tern chick in the picture is about 12 days old and should fledge at the weekend. There are chicks of all ages in the colony, and hopefully the forecast thunder storms for the next few days will not affect survival rate too much.
