As the weather warms up, many early butterflies and dragonflies can be seen on the wing. A butterfly survey on the reserve today revealed 11 species, including typical early species such as Peacock and Red Admiral, as well as less expected species like Small Copper and Green Hairstreak. If you are interested in surveying butterflies in your area then please visit http://www.butterfly-conservation.org/bnm/index.html.
