Water Rail
I had an hour before a meeting this morning and as the sun was out, I thought the Castle Water hide was the best option. Lots of common duck, but no Smew was seen. But I was rewarded with a close view of a nervous Water Rail. I managed sixteen quick photos, but most were blurred, out of focus and only part of the bird… this was the best.
