Around the Reserve Today

Along the shore; 200+ Sandwich Tern, 34 Common Tern, 6 Little Tern, 34 Dunlin, 16 Sanderling, 16 Curlew, 1 Grey Plover, 1 Little Egret (river mouth)
Offshore; 76 Gannet, 2 Arctic Skua (chasing terns)
Wader Pool; 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Green Sandpiper
Beach Reserve; 8 Wheatear, 11 Yellow Wagtail

Wetland Flowers

Many wetland flowers are at their best now. Along the Military Canal at Pett Level today there were many Flowering Rush (below), Purple Loostrife, Frogbit and Arrowhead.
