The movement of 1000+ Swifts was the main highlight from the Beach Reserve this morning.
At Castle Water this morning:

This afternoon Two Spoonbill arrived at Ternery Pool

This morning there was a heavy passage of Swift over the site, all heading in a south westerly direction. At 07.30, in a ten minute period, 868 flew over and fifteen minutes later a further 300+ passed through.
Very nice colours yesterday in the long grass around Carter’s Flood, where there were 3 Little Gulls, 8 Black-tailed Godwits, Green Sandpipers calling, Barn Owl & Little Owl, apart from the many duck, Swifts & House Martins.
