Ringed Plover success - so far…
A pair of Ringed Plovers has succeeded in nesting on Pett Level beach. They were intially seen with 2 chicks, but by yesterday just one had grown to a reasonable size. Nesting has often been attempted in the past, but has always been frustrated by visitor pressure. Perhaps this pair were given a break by the miserable weather in May.
Yesterday there was a drake Pochard on the roadside pool - unusual for June.
