Waxwings

At Morlais Ridge at Winchelsea Beach a strange call attracted my attention to what from a distance I thought was a flock of starlings at the top of a large poplar tree. They turned out to be 13 Waxwings. Disappointingly they flew off almost immediately, but most obligingly they flew over to the Harbour Farm estate and I got excellent views of them gorging on the crab apples on a small tree.
